PART VII ~ EVOLUTION OF A COVER ~ BARON OF GODSMERE: Book One in The Feud series (Winter 2014/15)

I enjoy working with my amazing cover designer to bring my characters to life beyond the printed word. Though I usually reserve that journey for my newsletters, this last one was so spectacular that I have to share it here.

PART VII: In All Its Glory ~ Hair good, Baron Boursier? Armor? Excuse me while I happy dance. Pleased with the keys, Lady Elianor? Excellent. So, how do you two like sharing this cover? Ah! That was a twinkle in your eye, Baron. And you are blushing quite prettily, Lady Elianor. Tomorrow… No more parts—just basking in the light of a beautiful cover by an incomparable cover artist. Thank you for joining us on the journey!

PART VI ~ EVOLUTION OF A COVER ~ BARON OF GODSMERE: Book One in The Feud series (Winter 2014/15)

I enjoy working with my amazing cover designer to bring my characters to life beyond the printed word. Though I usually reserve that journey for my newsletters, this last one was so spectacular that I have to share it here.

PART VI: Back To The Salon ~ Good on the auburn hair, Baron Boursier? Yes, I can ask the cover designer to nix the gold strands. Not a problem. What do you mean you’re not sure about the armor? Is this because it doesn’t show off your physique as well as the kilt? Yes, I can have her take it up a notch. Chain mail, too? Okay. How’s that braid, Lady Elianor? Glad to hear it. Between you and me, you’re easy compared to you-know-who. The keys? You’re right. They do get lost against the gold of your gown. I’ll see what she can do. So are you ready for tomorrow’s big reveal? Tomorrow, PART VII: In All Its Glory

PART V ~ EVOLUTION OF A COVER ~ BARON OF GODSMERE: Book One in The Feud series (Winter 2014/15)

I enjoy working with my amazing cover designer to bring my characters to life beyond the printed word. Though I usually reserve that journey for my newsletters, this last one was so spectacular that I have to share it here.

PART V: To The Armorers And A Good Salon ~ The perfect font! Love that the title fits on one line. But not as much as I love that armor. Holding up there okay, Baron Boursier? Wearing your eye patch again, I see. What do you think of the hair? Yes, it should be more on the auburn side of red. Your eyes–er, eye? You’re right, the color’s off. How about you, Lady Elianor? Yes, your new “do” would look lovelier with a braid. I’m so glad you like the gown. It keeps getting prettier, doesn’t it? I’ll let the cover designer know you’d like to show off the green of your eyes. We’re almost there, you know? Tomorrow, PART VI: Back To The Salon

PART IV: Of Keys And Swords and Fonts ~ Crisping up nicely, and though I like the new font, that’s not quite “it.” Hmm, where did the baron’s eye patch get to? Oh, nice sword, Baron Boursier! See, that didn’t hurt at all. Wish I could say the same about getting rid of your kilt and covering up that tattoo, but we’re about ready for armor. Fortunately, you look buff enough to bear the weight. One more thing—the blond locks have to go. As for you, Lady Elianor, the gown is more flattering, no? You’d like more hair? But of course, my lady! So glad you approve of the keys. A nice touch, hmm? Tomorrow, PART V: To The Armorers And A Good Salon

PART III: Hero Meet Heroine, Heroine Meet Hero ~ Ask for a sword down the center—symbolic, you know, since we are talking a 25-year-long feud—and look how beautifully my cover designer executes it. And love the swirling red banner! As for you, Baron Boursier, nice eye patch, but would you mind if we turn your sword down? It will still be ready at hand—I promise! Oh, Lady Elianor, don’t you look lovely in that gown? Much better, though I agree the sides need to be shaved a bit. And now that we have that poor thing out of your hand, how about something more appropriate? Isn’t this fun? Tomorrow, PART IV: Of Keys And Swords And Fonts
